CARE OF OUR POTTERY

All of Annabelle's Angels products are hand-painted terra cotta pottery.  Terra cotta pots are porous, so we use acrylic paints (several coats) on the inside and out and follow-up with a clear waterproof lacquer. The lacquer serves as a sealant and gives each piece a 'finished' look. These pots can be used indoors or outdoors. They should, however, be brought inside during the harsh winter months. For cleaning, please use a cold water and soap solution.  Use care to not scrub them too hard.

You CAN put plants in our pots!  Ann Hirano, Owner of Annabelle's Angels, loves to garden and has her own pots on her porch and plants flowers in them every year.  Just be sure to bring them in when the weather gets to harsh (very cold/snowy/stormy) and clean them with care.  Don't let your plants sit in water as that can cause root rot for your plant and it's not good for water to be standing on the saucers either.  Regular watering is just fine. The saucers are just not meant to be a pool!

You can also use Annabelle's Angels pots to hold utensils, baby items, keys and wallets, or as a decorative piece indoors. They have many uses and are quite durable.

Please note that we are not responsible for damage caused by poor care or breakage caused by carelessness.  Terra cotta pots are by nature quite breakable, so please take good care of your Annabelle's Angels pots.  After all, they are cute, put a smile on your face, and we hope you will enjoy them for years to come!

Painting your own terra cotta pots as a craft and have questions?  It's quite fun and we welcome crafters to this great hobby and pastime. Visit our DIY page for information on how to paint your own flower pots.

Any questions about use or care can be directed to us at our e-mail address: AnnabellesAngels@comcast.net.
